Carol Lauder

President - Carol Lauder

Carol Lauder is a Certified Professional Facilitator and a 31-year veteran of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA). Carol has facilitated meetings ranging from six to 150 attendees. In her role in state government, she is a project manager, overseeing a grant program to enforce the states laws concerning minors' access to tobacco products.

Carol has been a member of EWTG since 2001, serving on the board as the 2008 Membership Director, 2007 Silent Auction Chair, long time Executive Success Team (EST) member, and a conference workshop and mini-course presenter. Carol holds a BBA in Accounting from UT-Austin, is a founding member of the women's philanthropic organization, Impact Austin, and is in the 2009 class of Leadership Texas. 

 

President-Elect - Barrie Cogburn

Barrie is a registered Landscape Architect and has over 23 years of service with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). She currently holds the position of Landscape & Enhancements Section Director for TxDOT’s Design Division where she is responsible for the management of the statewide landscape programs and the administration of the federally funded Transportation Enhancement program.

 
Barrie has been a member of EWTG since 1996, serving on the EWTG Board in several positions including Membership Director, Public Relations Director and 2003 Vice President. She has served on several committees including community service, nominating, program, scholarship, and most recently, the executive director search committee.  She is a long-time Executive Success Team member. Barrie holds a BS in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University and is a graduate of the Leadership Texas Class of 2008. 

 
 

Vice-President - Mary Cheryl Dorwart

Mary Cheryl Dorwart is a Certified Texas Contract Manager and a 25-year veteran of state government. After working at the Comptroller of Public Accounts for many years, she is now at the Department of Information Resources (DIR) where she manages the contract for TexasOnline, the state's e-Government portal.

She has been a member of EWTG since 1995, serving in many roles. Mary Cheryl has served on the EWTG Board in several positions, including Programs Director, and as the 2001 President. She also has served on numerous committees including: membership, community service, nominating, finance, scholarship, executive director search committee and many conference committees. She has been a member of an Executive Success Team since the program's inception. Mary Cheryl holds a BBA in Journalism from New Mexico State University. 

 

Financial Officer – Cindy Bordovsky-Stone

Cindy Bordovsky-Stone has over 18 years of service with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and is a Systems Analyst and past project manager for the Budget Monitoring System. Cindy has a degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and in Computer Information Systems from Texas State. She is delighted that she has the opportunity to use both degrees in continuing to provide technical support for the Finance Division. Cindy is also a past president of TxDOT's Women's Information Network.

Cindy returned to EWTG as a member in 2006. Her service includes the 2009 Secretary/Treasurer, the Membership committee in 2008, and the Silent Auction committee in 2007. Cindy also continues to volunteer for other organizations. In December, she will be working on the 2009 U.S. Dressage Federation Convention in Austin, Texas. Cindy continues to support the Round Rock Boys Soccer Booster Club by chairing the 2010 fundraising committee, after helping manage the 2009 end of year banquet. St. Williams Catholic Church has entrusted Cindy to the ministry of the Eucharist and Hospitality each Sunday afternoon. Cindy's most recent efforts have been learning to pilot her own business the "Mary Kay Way" and joining the YMCA.

Secretary-Treasurer - Jennifer Dormer

Jennifer Dormer has served with the State of Texas for 13 years. She is the Lead Accountant with the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) overseeing payments to the Elderly and Disabled members of our community. Prior to DADS, Jennifer worked in the Accounting Department of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for 5 years. She is a new member to EWTG but has been attending conferences for several years. She is currently serving as the Evaluation Committee Chair for this year's 23rd Annual Professional Development Conference.

In addition to her role with EWTG, Jennifer serves as the Advancement Coordinator for the Boy Scouts of America Buda Troop - since 2007--and Stage Manager for the Austin Summer Musical for Children - since 2008. She has earned her Associate of Science in Business Administration and is currently working toward her Bachelor of Science in Accounting with St. Edwards University.


Affiliates Director - Audrey Selden

Audrey Selden is the Senior Associate Commissioner for Consumer Protection at the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). This division assists consumers with questions and disputes with their insurance companies or agents. Audrey facilitates the Texas State Disaster Coalition and is the Director of the TDI Excellence Program. She previously served as the Texas Assistant Secretary of State.

Audrey is a graduate of Leadership Texas and Leadership America, a board member of the Foundation for Women's Resources, and a Board Development Committee member of the Girl Scouts of Central Texas Council. Audrey graduated from Harvard Law School. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan State University. 


 

Communications Director – Liza Chen Willmore

Liza Chen Willmore is the Section Coordinator of the Document Processing and Delivery Section at the Texas Legislative Council (TLC). In addition to her work, Liza was awarded the 2006 Outstanding Woman in Texas Government Award and has been an active member in Executive Women in Texas Government since 2006. In 2007, she played a key role on the program committee in planning the conference logistics and organizing the 35 moderators for workshop sessions. In 2008, Liza served as the 2008 EWTG Public Relations Director which gave EWTG substantial media coverage in promoting the 2008 EWTG Conference and achieved a record-breaking number of conference attendees. Liza holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. 

 

Membership Director - Deanna DeHaven

Deanna DeHaven is the Project Control Manager for MAXIMUS on the Children's Health Insurance Program, Enrollment Broker and Eligibility Support Services contracts with the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Deanna served on the Community Service Committee in 2009 and is the facilitator of her Executive Success Team. In addition to her involvement with EWTG, Deanna is also on the Board of Directors of Family Connections and a founding member of the Greenlights 501 Council. Deanna earned Masters degrees in Social Work and Public Administration at the University of Southern California and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees at Michigan State University. 


 

Program Director - Laure McLaughlin

Laure McLaughlin is a senior research analyst with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA), a position she has held for the past 12 years. Laure also has significant legislative experience, having worked for members of the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House, the Texas Senate and the Texas House. Laure has a BA in government and history from UT-Austin and an MPAff from UT-Austin's LBJ School of Public Affairs.

An EWTG member since 1998, Laure was the 2006 Program Director and is a long-time member of an Executive Success Team. 

 

 

Public Relations Director - Dee Mcllroy

Dee McIlroy is a Senior Program Analyst for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA). She is currently working in the IT Infrastructure Division/Customer Service, performing analysis in order to automate or improve systems.

She has been an active member of EWTG since 1997. Past service with the organization has included 2001-02 Membership Director, 2004 Conference Registration Chair, Executive Success Team (EST) member and lead, and as member of many committees. Dee holds a BBA in Management from Texas Tech University.
