Greetings EWTG!

I’m Karen Howard, currently serving as Program Director for our awesome organization. I have been a member since 2009 and have served in several capacities during this time. My tenure with EWTG has been extremely rewarding.  

As the Program Director my responsibilities are to schedule the monthly luncheons, select the program speakers and topics; and make arrangements for the luncheons that are held at the Austin’s Women’s Club. I also prepare the newsletter articles announcing the speaker of the month. And my favorite part is introducing all the awesome speakers that have taken time to impart their knowledge, to share different perspectives for coping with life, to suggest ideals to empower us as women and to share their ideas on how to function in today’s work environment.  
During this year while serving as Program Committee Director and Conference Program Committee Chair, we have brought to you some of leading and outstanding speakers from their field of expertise for our monthly luncheons. The list includes: February- Craig Petersen; Director, Executive Master in Public Leadership Program; March- Lisa Craven, Chief of Staff, Comptroller Glenn Hegar; April- Chris Makell, Founder, CEO- Spark of Brilliance Consulting; May- Marion Sokol, Ph.D. MPH; June- Becky Lynn Smith, PMP, CBC, CBLC; July- Sarah Fontenot, BSN, JD, CSP; and in August- Patricia V. Hayes, Principal owner of PVH Consulting Group, LLC. On the horizon for the coming months, we have scheduled: September- Dr. Alison Alter, Philanthropic Advisor, Candidate for Austin City Council, District 10; October- Dorothy Traska-Davis, Executive Coach, Consultant and Seminar Leader.  

For this year’s conference, we have invited thirty-six (36) powerful and dynamic speakers to impart their knowledge on topics that are sure to make a difference in our day to day lives!
