Clare Dyer President-Elect Receives National Award

Earlier this month, EWTG President-elect Clare Dyer was awarded the prestigious Legislative Staff Achievement Award from the Research and Committee Staff Section (RACSS) of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).  The NCSL is extremely selective in bestowing this award.  This year only two staffers from the entire nation were considered worthy.  Clare was presented with the award at the NCSL's national convention attended by thousands of staffers and officials from legislatures around the country.

Clare earned this honor through her 28 years of distinguished service to the Texas Legislative Council, the Texas Legislature, and to legislatures and legislative staff across the country, who have benefited from Clare's decades of participation in NCSL conferences and professional development, including the NCSL Redistricting Task Force.  Clare is known nationally as a redistricting expert and is highly respected by judges and redistricting lawyers who know her work.

“Clare Dyer is one of the most talented employees and effective mentors and leaders I have ever had the good fortune to work with, and I am truly moved that her colleagues from throughout the nation have recognized her special talents and contributions,”
responded Jeff Archer, Executive Director of the Texas Legislative Council.
