"Regina is an authentic, detail-oriented leader who holds the customer's goals in mind. She listens, answers concerns, and provides informed insights for successful, complex agency transactions. Her work at the Texas Department of Insurance repeatedly demonstrated the importance of the competitive bid process, inclusion of historically underutilized businesses and creative, successful solutions to challenging problems. Notably, her efforts helped TDI respond immediately and successfully to several major disasters including hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and explosions. Her procurement expertise in a time of crisis was invaluable in helping to place TDI staff in the field to assist consumers with their disaster-related insurance claims."
"I have known Regina for the span of my 20+ year career. She is a phenomenal woman who selflessly and gracefully takes on both professional and personal projects; pursuing excellence in everything she does. Throughout the time I have known Regina, I have witnessed her strong work ethic and her personal passion for coaching and mentoring women coming up the ranks. She is an extraordinary leader and well-deserving of the honor of Woman of the Year."
